We are a small hostel located on the margins of the Camiño Portugués that goes to Santiago by the coast.

We are situated between a sea of rocks and a mountain of horses.

We want to be a welcoming space for you to complete the Camino for a day, or for you to take a break for a few days or to stay with us as long as you decide...

Our team
We are a team made up of two people with complementary profiles.

One is a former pilgrim who comes from social services and personal development and the other comes from running a hotel in a natural park.

We are both travellers and we value people and their circumstances, so between the two of us we will try to provide a warm and friendly welcome, appropriate to the characteristics of each person, so that the time spent here will be a rewarding experience.

We speak Galician, Spanish and native French. Portuguese and conversational English.
We have 16 beds in two rooms: one for six and the other for ten people.

All are single bunk beds with curtain; with charger support, light and locker, including bed linen and towel.

We have a living room with a small kitchen, a terrace facing the sea and a back garden.

There is wi-fi available and accessibility for people with disabilities.

We have bicycle parking, washing machine, dryer and clothesline.

If you are doing the Camino:

In our garden, apart from doing your laundry and enjoying the flowers, you can rest your legs, feet and back.

Within a radius of 100 metres from the hostel you have a beautiful rocky beach, a small grocery shop, a snack bar with terrace and two restaurants.

SURROUNDINGS
The hostel is located in a rural area that unites the high climate of the rocky sea with that of the middle mountain. On foot, on horseback or by bicycle you can visit beautiful landscapes within a very short radius. And as you open the arc of the compass the offer becomes overwhelming.

The context in relation to the seasons, with its light and changing climates and mild temperatures, make a great starting point for nuanced travel experiences that will enrich your memories.

There are journeys in search of truth, of happiness, of immortality, of one's own centre, of the myths that populate us. There are journeys through outer space, which also modify the rooms inside us. The body and the soul go through situations and locations, in space and in the mind that test the limits with which we identify ourselves. We travel on the outside and grow on the inside.

The Albergue da Estrela is situated at the side of a mythical path and in a magical environment, to walk calmly, to discover situations and locations, in space and in the mind, and to rest and integrate new mental maps of individual orientation.

OUR ACTIVITIES
We love nature, sustainable development, biodiversity, creativity, gastronomy, arts and spirituality. Besides travelling in outer space we like to grow and create from different perspectives.

In the hostel space you will find a permanent exhibition of art therapy pieces, in the form of paintings and books, which we can send to your home in exchange for a donation to different causes.
