Oia's Magic Route
A FERVENZA RIVER
Enjoy the highest waterfall in Baixo Miño, visible during the rainy season, and venture into canyoning in a recreational area.
It rises in Cortello do Porco, near the Alto de la Groba, and passes through the area of Punxemuros, where one of the old farms of the Mosteiro de Oia used to be. As its name indicates, this river has a spectacular waterfall, the highest in the whole Baixo Miño, which is visible from the Baiona - A Guarda road during the rainy season.
In the upper part of the river, there are predominantly backwaters with some small waterfalls, then it is part of the recreational area located next to the hunters' stand in Mougás and, finally, it reaches the steepest area with a succession of waterfalls that are used for canyoning.
